Duke climbed slowly out of the car. Jennifer rushed to follow him, gaping.
"That's your friend?" she asked Duke. "Don't you think you should stop him?"
Duke grimaced. "The thing is that -- I mean, Nathan and I have --" He flinched sympathetically when Nathan got socked by the next biker, even as Nathan didn't blink at all. "-- A complicated relationship."
